OBJECTIVES

OBJECTIVES OF CDMRP

To provide comprehensive, accessible disability management services to child with disabilities at free of cost to the needy.
To establish Community disability management Clinic in Panchayaths in Kozhikode, Malappuram and Kannur districts with the support from LSGs, NGOs and Schools on the basis of priority and needs
To establish recovery-oriented Community rehabilitation services in various Panchayaths of Kozhikode and, Malappuram districts with support from LSGs, NGOs and Schools on the base of priority and need
To conduct Public awareness and sensitizing programs about various disability issues to promote inclusive and empowering environment for person with disability
To conduct advance training in all areas of disability management for various categories of Professional (e.g.: - Medical and Paramedical professionals, BRC and RMSA resource teachers, and General school teachers).
To conduct training for Anganwadi teachers/ ASHA workers/health workers in early identification of developmental disabilities and effective function for Community disability management clinic in their respective panchayath.
To build human resource in the field of disability and rehabilitation through conducting various advanced professional Courses in collaboration with National and international agencies
Undertake need based research studies which will provide answers to the various problems and difficulties faced by the persons with disabilities and their families
To work as a nodal center to conduct and coordinate various training research project under National and international agencies particularly Ministry of Social Justice, NRHM, DME, ICMR, ICSSR, UGC RCI, NIMH, WHO etc.
To undertake assignments for documentation and dissemination of information related to rehabilitation of children/people with disabilities.
Contribute in the Public Policy formulation by actively participating in the State and Central level deliberations and also organize National and International level seminars and conferences
